We are pleased to say that, thanks to the public appeal, restructuring of our lottery grant, staff restructuring and a partnership with an experienced swim school operator, we have managed to put together a sustainable plan to continue operating the whole of The Lenton Centre – including the pool!
The Quackers Swim School will be operated by Dave Sankey of DS Swim, but remain under the Quackers brand and use many of the same staff. We have had to make some redundancies, but are confident that most staff have been found an alternative role either with TLC or DS Swim.
We still need your continued support to make this plan work, namely:
1. 
Keep publicising the Just Giving page amongst your networks, as we still need to make this target up from online and offline donations.
2. 
Use our facilities – keep an eye out on social media or in the Centre for our regular and one-off activities.
3. Learn to swim with Quackers – we are now accepting new enquiries for September – please email quackers@thelentoncentre.org.uk or ring 0115 9412422.
4. 
Become a volunteer – see our website for the many opportunities which we need to fill in order to support this community facility, including as a trustee.
The last 2 weeks have been a scary and stressful time for us here at TLC and we want to extend a huge thanks to everyone who continues to support us – we are nothing without our community!
